The Parable of the Blind Workhorse

There was a man who worked hard, yet had no direction or awareness of where he was going.

He continued to labor, but never questioned why or where it was leading him. He was productive, yet lacked vision, purpose, and understanding.

He followed orders, but doubted himself along the way. He followed his routine, but refuses to change it due to fear. Even though he did all of these things with his might, he did them without discernment.

Many men today live this way.

They labor endlessly, carrying responsibilities on their backs like a workhorse in the field, yet rarely stop to examine whether their labor is aligned with the will of God.

As a man, you are not defined by your labor alone. You are defined by your obedience to God.

You have many responsibilities, but you were never meant to carry them alone. You need a help meet, because it is not good for a man to be alone (Genesis 2:18).

You work hard all day and all night.

Yet many work without a purpose, no longer knowing the difference between the day and the night. In the midst of constant labor, they forget they were called by God Himself to spend time with Him in the cool of the day (Genesis 3:8).

You are a son of light, one who has the power to put darkness to rest (1 Thessalonians 5:5).

You have been given authority to trample over the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).

This is the very purpose for which God desires to reflect His anointing upon your life.

The systems of this world are against you. Yet, the Lord, your God is for you (Romans 8:31).

You were made in the image of God, created in His likeness. When He formed you in your mother’s womb, He envisioned His purpose within you before you ever entered the earth.

      - He uses your body to reflect what He placed inside of you.

      - He uses your strength as a symbol of His divine power.

      - He uses your courage as a symbol of His glory.

      - He uses your weaknesses as way to demonstrate His mercy.

      - He uses your hands as a symbol of His authority.

The weight you carry is not as heavy as you think when it is surrendered to Him.

You were created not only to acknowledge God, but also to give Him praise, knowing deep down that you are covered and protected by His grace.

A blind workhorse labors without vision, but a man led by God walks with discernment.
